Does my system meet the minimum requirements?
A graphics chip capable of hardware encoding is required to stream your desktop with low latency: an Nvidia GPU that supports NVENC, an AMD GPU on Radeon Software Adrenalin 18.8.1 or newer drivers, or Intel graphics with Quick Sync.
I have more than one GPU in my system.
If you have both integrated and dedicated graphics, set the Remote Desktop client to use the most powerful option.
My PC and headset can't find each other.
Your PC and Quest must be on the same local network, with the Quest on 5 GHz Wi‑Fi. Also make sure your home network is set to private, or your Quest won't be able to see your computer.
My desktop won't appear in VR.
Double-check you are logged into the same account in Bigscreen Remote Desktop and in Bigscreen on the Quest. The two apps pair through your shared account, not a code.
Windows didn't ask about firewall permissions.
If Windows never asked to allow Bigscreen Remote Desktop through the firewall during setup, open your Windows Defender Firewall settings, enable the notify option, then uninstall and reinstall the app. Alternatively, if your PC meets the requirements for PC VR, you can stream using Oculus Link or Air Link.
